Cookies & Privacy Policy

This policy describes the management of the website concerning the processing of users' personal data who consult it, as well as the data processing practices transmitted by the data subject to the Data Controller through this website.

This is a notice provided pursuant to Art. 13 of d.lgs.n. 196/2003 – Personal Data Protection Code for those who interact with this website.

Data Controller

Following the consultation of the Site or voluntary registration on it, the personal data of users may be processed. The "controller" of their processing is EPIQUE.

Purposes of processing

As better explained in the sections allowing users to subscribe – by providing their personal data – to services reserved for Site users, the data of interested users are processed to respond to requests expressly made by them. In particular, all data collection and subsequent processing activities are aimed at achieving the following purposes:

  • site registration;
  • subscription to email newsletters;
  • sharing of content on the site;
  • general request for information;
  • registration for events and initiatives;
  • promotion, management of donations and sponsorships, subscriptions to initiatives and editorial products, advertising or promotional initiatives;
  • collection, analysis, and internal profiling.

The Controller will not use the provided data for purposes other than those connected to the service, among those listed above, to which the interested user has adhered, or only within the limits indicated from time to time in any further specific information accompanying the different and particular service requested by the user.

Delegates, responsible parties, and data processing locations

Processing related to the Site's web services takes place at the aforementioned Controller's office, on servers located at the server farm where the site is hosted and on servers dedicated to the management and sending of newsletters.

The data will be processed by the Controller through its delegates, depending on the purpose to be achieved based on the data subject's request. The data processing manager is the company itself. The list of additional data processing managers is available at the Controller's office and can be requested via email at info@alessiafashion.com

How we process data

All processing carried out on this site will be done using electronic or telematic tools but may also be processed using paper/manual tools.

The data will be processed with logic related to the purposes for which the data was collected and in compliance with current security regulations, for the aforementioned or specified purposes from time to time in any additional information presented to the user.

Personal data will be processed for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they are collected.

Types of data processed and optional provision

The forms to be filled out on this site may include both data that is strictly necessary to adhere to the user's interest and whose failure to provide prevents the request from being processed, and optional data that is not strictly necessary to process the request.

Navigation data

The computer systems and software procedures used for the operation of this website acquire, during their normal operation, certain personal data, the transmission of which is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. These are information that is not collected to be associated with identified individuals but, by their nature, could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified.

This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users connecting to the site, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used in submitting the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.), and other parameters relating to the user's operating system and computer environment.

These data are used solely for the purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check its correct functioning and are deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in case of hypothetical computer crimes against the site: except for this possibility, currently, web contact data do not persist for more than seven days.

Voluntarily provided by the user

The personal data normally requested for the use of this site's services are personal and contact details. The optional, explicit, and voluntary sending of emails to the addresses indicated on this site or through electronic contact forms entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender's address, necessary to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data entered in the message. Specific summary information will be progressively reported or displayed on the site pages prepared for particular services on request. Normally, sensitive data as per ex art. 4 D.lgs. 196/2003 (in case of processing sensitive data for certain services, a specific informative and the specific consent of the interested user will be provided) are not processed.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that websites visited by the user send and record on their computer or mobile device, to be then retransmitted to the same sites on the next visit. Thanks to cookies, the site remembers the user's actions and preferences (such as login data, chosen language, font size, other display settings, etc.) so that they do not have to be indicated again when the user returns to the site or navigates from one page to another. Cookies are used for computer authentication, session monitoring, and storing information about users' activities on a site and may also contain a unique identification code that allows tracking of the user's navigation within the site itself for statistical or advertising purposes. During navigation on a site, the user may receive cookies on their computer or mobile device from sites or web servers other than the one they are visiting (so-called "third-party cookies"). Some operations may not be performed without the use of cookies, which in some cases are technically necessary for the proper functioning of the site.

There are various types of cookies, depending on their characteristics and functions, and these can remain on the user's computer or mobile device for different periods: so-called session cookies, which are automatically deleted when the browser is closed; so-called persistent cookies, which remain on the user's device until a predetermined expiration date.

According to current Italian legislation, express user consent is not always required for the use of cookies. In particular, "technical cookies," i.e., those used solely for the purpose of transmitting a communication over an electronic communications network or to the extent strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user, do not require such consent. Among technical cookies, which do not require express consent for their use, the Italian Data Protection Authority (see Prov. Gen. "Identification of simplified procedures for information and acquisition of consent for the use of cookies – May 8, 2014") also includes:

"analytics cookies" when used directly by the site manager to collect, in aggregate form, information on the number of users and how they visit the site,

navigation or session cookies (to authenticate),

functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate based on selected criteria (e.g., language, products selected for purchase) to improve the service provided.

For "profiling cookies," on the other hand, i.e., those aimed at creating user profiles and used to send advertising messages in line with the user's preferences expressed during web browsing, prior user consent is required.

Types of cookies used by the Site and possibility of (de-)selection

The Site uses the following cookies, offering the possibility of (de-)selection of the same, except for third-party cookies for which the user must refer directly to the respective selection and de-selection methods of their cookies indicated below through links:

  • Technical navigation or session cookies are strictly necessary for the functioning of the Site or to allow the user to use the content and services requested by them.
  • Technical-analytics cookies, which allow understanding how the site is used by users. These cookies do not collect information about the user's identity or any personal data. The information is processed in aggregate and anonymous form.
  • Technical-functionality cookies, i.e., used to activate specific features of the site and a series of selected criteria (e.g., language, products selected for purchase) to improve the service provided.

WARNING: by disabling technical and/or functionality cookies, the Site may not be consultable, or some services or certain functions of the Site may not be available or may not work correctly, and the user may be forced to manually change or enter some information or preferences each time they visit the site.

Session technical cookies for the operation of the site

Third-party cookies, i.e., cookies from sites or web servers other than the Controller's, used for their own purposes, including profiling cookies. It should be noted that these third-party subjects, listed below with links to their privacy policies, are independent data controllers for the data collected through the cookies they serve; therefore, the user must refer to their personal data processing policies, information, and consent forms (selection and de-selection of their cookies) indicated below (as specified in the Prov. Gen. Identification of simplified procedures for information and acquisition of consent for the use of cookies – May 8, 2014):

How to view and modify cookies through your browser

The user can select which cookies to authorize through the specific procedure provided below, as well as authorize, block, or delete (in whole or in part) cookies also through the specific functions of their browsing program (browser): however, if all or some of the cookies are disabled, it is possible that the Site may not be consultable or that some services or certain functions of the Site may not be available or may not work correctly, and/or the user may be forced to manually change or enter some information or preferences each time they visit the Site.

Optional provision of data other than navigation data

Apart from what is specified for navigation data, the user is free to provide the personal data reported in the registration/subscription forms (some with specific and separate requests for informed consent for treatments that require it) or otherwise indicated in contacts with the company to request the sending of informational material or other communications. The optional, explicit, and voluntary sending of emails to the addresses indicated on this site, or through communication forms, entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender's address, necessary to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data entered in the message.

In the case of interested parties to whom they refer, non-sensitive personal data could be processed in the future without consent also for other activities falling within the legitimate purposes provided by the company (such as analysis activities, direct contacts with telephone operators or postal mail, sending a non-promotional newsletter of updates on our activities, without prejudice to the right of opposition recognized at any time to the interested party). For sending emails, SMS, MMS, faxes, or other automated promotional content, interested parties, if necessary, will be asked for a free and optional prior consent; this consent could also be extended in writing or by telephone. The Controller will process the data of interested parties only for the time necessary for the purposes.

Specific summary information and requests for consent may be progressively reported or displayed on the pages of the site prepared for particular services (e.g., newsletter subscription or events). Failure to provide them may in some cases result in the impossibility of obtaining what is requested.

Rights of the interested parties

Those to whom the personal data refer have the right at any time to obtain confirmation of their existence or otherwise and to know their content and origin, verify their accuracy, or request their integration or updating, or rectification (Art. 7 of d.lgs. n. 196/2003).

Under the same article, the right to request cancellation, transformation into anonymous form, or blocking of data processed in violation of the law, as well as to oppose, in any case, for legitimate reasons, their processing, is recognized.

Requests should be addressed to the physical address of the Controller or by email to info@alessiafashion.com.
